Privacy Policy

Twik turns your speech into text inside the apps you already use. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Twik apps for Android and iOS (the "App"), and the choices you have. Twik is operated by GUMLABS PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated in India.

What We Collect

Account

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and name. That is all we need to create your account. We never see or store your password.

Your voice and transcripts

When you dictate, your speech is converted to text. The audio and the resulting text are used only to produce your transcription and are not kept afterwards, beyond the brief moment needed to process and return them. We do not use your dictation to train models, and no one listens to your recordings.

Subscription

Whether you are on the free or paid plan, and the purchase records held by the store or payment processor you bought through. We never receive your card details.

Device and diagnostics

Basic technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and crash reports, used to keep the App working. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, browsing history, or anything you type or say outside of dictation.

How We Use It

To provide the App: sign you in, transcribe your speech, deliver your text, and apply your plan's limits. To keep it reliable: diagnose crashes and improve accuracy and speed using aggregated, de-identified information. To meet our legal, tax, and fraud-prevention obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.

Who We Share It With

We share information only with the service providers that help us run Twik, such as infrastructure and hosting, sign-in, speech processing, analytics, and subscription billing. They may use it only to perform these services for us, under contract and confidentiality obligations.

Subscriptions and payments are handled by Google Play, the App Store, or Razorpay for macOS plans bought on this website, depending on where you purchased. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. If Twik is acquired, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

Permissions

• Microphone: to hear you when you choose to dictate. Twik listens only while you are actively dictating.
• Android Accessibility: to show the dictation controls over other apps and place your finished text where you were typing.
• iOS Full Access (keyboard): to send your dictation for processing and return the text.

You can turn any of these off in your device settings. The App cannot transcribe without them.

How Long We Keep It

• Account information: while your account is active, then deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
• Voice and transcripts: not retained after your text is delivered.
• Diagnostic and usage information: up to 12 months.
• Purchase records: kept by the store or payment processor for as long as tax law requires.

Your Choices

• View or update your details in the App settings.
• Delete your account from the App's settings screen, or by emailing us. This removes your profile and usage information. Purchase records held by the stores, and anonymized analytics, remain.
• Turn off Microphone, Accessibility, or Full Access permission at any time in your device settings.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your Google Play or App Store account.

Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, restricted internal access, and industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information protected.

Children

Twik is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us data, email us and we will delete it.

International Transfers

Your information may be processed on servers outside your country, including in other regions where our providers operate. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses for transfers out of the EEA.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App.
